This week, solar panel market prices showed mixed trends with minor adjustments. Quotations for all technical types of solar panel generally decreased by Rs.0.8-1.6 per watt, but Jinko TOPCon series module saw an increase of Rs. 0.4 per watt. Additionally, with the arrival of the off-season, most manufacturers have begun to reduce their January production schedules.
Specifically: The price of TOPCon module remains at Rs.25-29 per watt. Notably, since late December, affected by the rising cost of battery cells, some strong second-tier solar panel manufacturers have raised their quotes to above Rs.27 per watt, mainly focusing on products with power ratings of 600-650 watts; however, due to weak demand, small-scale manufacturers continue to adopt a low-price strategy, with quotation ranges from Rs.25-27 per watt. Additionally, according to YOURSUN research, the market demand for high-power products of 700 watts is relatively strong, jinko solar panel price around Rs.28 per watt, and some leading manufacturers plan to increase production moderately in January to meet order demand. BC solar panel prices have partially decreased, generally ranging from Rs.26-32 per watt. BC solar panel manufacturers adjust prices based on inventory assessments, slightly lowering prices for products with ample stock by Rs.0.4-0.8 per watt. HJT solar panel prices remain relatively stable at Rs.28-32 per watt. This week, multiple HJT solar panel manufacturers have launched year-end promotional activities, with prices concentrated around Rs.28 per watt, increasing market inventory to 30-35MW, but the promotional effect is generally average. According to our research, HJT manufacturers generally plan to reduce production in January, mainly to secure signed orders, with overall production capacity estimated at 1-2 GW.
In terms of market demand, according to research conducted this week, distributed demand has further cooled down, with some manufacturers reporting a significant reduction in loose orders and a substantial decrease in distributed order volumes compared to early December. Taking North China and East China, two traditional demand hot spots, as examples, the order signing volume in late December was significantly reduced by 50-70% compared to the first half of the month. Centralized demand also operates at low levels, with this weeks confirmed orders totaling 0.9GW and tendered volumes reaching 3.9GW, showing a slight increase from the previous week. Notably, a company in Sichuan opened its 2024 solar panel framework agreement procurement project this week, where the opening bid information for Section One listed a high price of Rs.40 per watt, with an average price as high as Rs.33 per watt. In terms of production schedules for January, according to incomplete statistics from YOURSUN, leading manufacturers have shown some divergence in their production strategies, with about 3 companies choosing to uniformly cut production across all lines, while another 3 companies have slightly increased production for popular models. Some manufacturers revealed that their January production plans are primarily focused on securing existing orders, and they expect to slightly increase production for out-of-stock models to alleviate supply pressure. However, the overall markets production strategy is expected to trend downward.
This week, YOURSUN researched the information of Jinko solar panels price in Pakistan as follows:
- TOPCon: price range is Rs. 28 per watt to Rs. 31 per watt, price fluctuation is large.
- PERC: price range of Rs. 26 per watt to Rs. 29 per watt, price decreased slightly.
- HJT: the price range is Rs. 28 per watt to Rs. 35 per watt, and the price has decreased slightly.
- BC: price range is Rs. 26 per watt to Rs. 35 per watt, relatively stable price.
